Terms of Service

By creating an account or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the service. If you are under 16, please do not sign up. Accounts found to belong to users under 16 will be deleted on discovery.

Broentech Sentinel AS provides a platform for communication, meeting booking, and the ASMI avatar design service. The service includes user accounts, direct messaging, meeting scheduling, AI-assisted avatar design and deployment, and a Support Hub for feedback.

You retain ownership of everything you create on the service — avatars you design, messages you send, feedback you submit, blog comments you post.

For the service to function, you grant Broentech Sentinel AS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service and providing it to you. This licence is automatically terminated when you delete the content or your account, except for: (i) backups that expire within 30 days, (ii) content you have made publicly available that other users have already interacted with, (iii) data we are required to retain by law.

Public avatars: if you deploy an ASMI avatar publicly or list it in the gallery, you grant an additional licence to serve the avatar's appearance, state machine, and responses to visitors of the sites where it is embedded.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any reference photo or content you submit.

You agree NOT to use the service to:

Upload, share, or generate content that is illegal under Norwegian, EU, UK, or US law, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism or violence, incitement to hatred based on protected characteristics, content infringing another party's intellectual property, or private information about others (doxxing).

Harass, stalk, or threaten other users or third parties.

Distribute spam, phishing content, malware, or content designed to deceive.

Interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service's infrastructure.

Use the service to build competitive products using our Gemini/Vertex AI integration in a way that violates the underlying provider's terms.

We use AI-assisted moderation to flag possible violations; all decisions to suspend an account or remove content are made by a human admin, and you may appeal any such decision by replying to the notification email.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

You must verify your email address before accessing messaging and meeting features.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with any laws that apply to you, including export controls.

The service is currently provided free of charge for individual use, with usage-based token billing for advanced ASMI features. Where you enter into a paid subscription as a consumer under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of the subscription starting without giving any reason.

If you begin using a paid feature immediately, you acknowledge that the service has been performed in full and the right of withdrawal is lost for already-consumed usage. Any unused, pre-paid balance can be refunded within the 14-day window.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. This will permanently remove your associated data within 30 days, except for anything we are required to retain by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Where we do so, we will tell you what was violated and — unless prevented by law or the nature of the violation — give you an opportunity to appeal before the termination becomes final.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Broentech Sentinel AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

If you believe content on this service is illegal, infringes your rights, or violates our Acceptable Use policy, email stian@broentech.no with a description of the content, its location on the service, and (for rights-holder claims) evidence that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.

We will acknowledge receipt, assess the report, and take appropriate action. Where required under the EU Digital Services Act, competent authorities can use the same contact to serve orders to act against illegal content.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved at Vestfold tingrett, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rule in your country of residence that grants you access to a local court.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The last updated date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
